Bill is the founder and managing partner of Legacy. His more than 20 years of non-profit and charitable experience represents the backbone of the organization. His idea of leveraging his own personal and professional relationships to give back to others lead to the development of Legacy, a unique professional practice that combines the significant spheres of influence of pro athletes, pro and college coaches, high wealth individuals, and business executives, with the desire to positively impact the communities in which they operate.
While focusing on the growth and operation of Legacy, Bill’s interests are varied. He has spent the past five years as an operating partner in the New York-based private equity firm, Fenway Partners. He is nationally-recognized leadership speaker and author of the book “Igniting the Blue Flame; Answering the Call to Leadership.” Previously, he spent a decade in Austin, Texas as the chief lobbyist and chief executive officer of a state-wide trade association representing the transportation industry.
He and his wife Jill (a partner in Legacy), and their three sons Clayton, Brandon, and Hayden, live in Southlake, TX. Bill is active in many civic and charitable organizations and currently serves as a member of the board of directors of numerous charitable organizations.
Katy joined the Legacy team in 2011 and provides client and project coordination across the entire portfolio. She has experience in marketing and website design as well as event planning and execution ranging from weddings to large outdoor concerts at venues such as The Dallas Arboretum. Katy graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies with a focus in Business Administration. Katy not only believes that the desire and ability to be successful in special events has to be in your blood, but she has it in her as well. Though she is new to Dallas, she is committed to helping her community by volunteering for after school programs such as Girls Inc.
Jill is a founding partner of Legacy and brings more than 20 years of design and art experience to the group as our creative director. With an art and design career focused on both in-house product and advertising design, she delivers free-lance creative and production work for varied clients. Jill provides direction and execution of client branding, event marketing, and creative coordination of all Legacy activities. She is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and is a dedicated mother. With her husband Bill (managing partner of Legacy), they have three sons, Clayton, Brandon, and Hayden. She is an active volunteer in a number of community organizations.
Chris is involved in business and sponsorship development for Legacy and leverages his extensive sports management experience across a wide variety of Legacy's portfolio. He has served in various capacities in sports management, most recently with Michael Johnson Performance and IMG Academies. He is a resident of Keller, Texas and is involved in numeours philanthropic and community organizations.
